Support may begin shortly after a crime or tragedy occurs. Our team is available to provide compassionate assistance and help you understand your options.
We take time to learn about your situation, identify immediate concerns, and discuss supports that may help improve safety and wellbeing.
You may receive emotional support, safety planning, practical guidance, and referrals to trusted community programs and resources.
Support doesn’t always end after the initial conversation. We help connect individuals and families with additional services and next steps when needed.
Support services may include needs assessments, practical assistance, referrals to community and government resources, safety planning, eligibility support for VQRP+, enhanced support services, community sessions, and ongoing follow-up when needed.
The Victim Crisis Assistance Ontario Program provides client-centred, culturally responsive support for individuals and families affected by crime or tragedy.
